Creatives Appreciation Post (CAP 1)
There are two worlds in the creative industry - one full of competition and jealousy and another full of competition and drive. I prefer the latter. I also love bringing attention to amazing creatives of all kind because... they deserve it and they're awesome!
SO. Lemme lay it down for you!
Meet Sean Lew, I know he's becoming super hype now after his WOD (World of Dance) performance with Kaycee Rice but would ya believe it if I told you that I saw this kid on an old D-Trix Youtube video years ago?
I was on Instagram the other night (as I usually do) and I usually don't browse the explore page but for some reason, there was a dance video and I just clicked. Got dam. I was SHOOKETH. I ended up watching the video multiple times and couldn't fall asleep for the next 2 hours because I was just so hyped and inspired. (If I'm using this thing right, the video will be below).
Like. ZAM.
So! Here is my tribute to this dude:
I know it doesn't look exaaaactly like him (this is a photo from one of his instagram posts, creepy? hmm). But it's my quick rendition of his aura.... skrrrrt. Moving on.
I feel like I'm about to go off on a tangent and sort of fan girl but I get so hyped seeing other creatives just killin' it! Also, I'm sorry for overusing the word hyped.. I tried looking for an alternative on thesaurus but.. meh.
Although I don't know this guy personally, I have so much respect for his art and especially for his age (currently I believe he's.. 16?). Just wow. He has wasted no time doing what he loves and going full throttle! When I think about what I was doing at 16... probably picking my nose or something. So instead of being discouraged at all the time i wasted, I take it as I have so much to make up for so time for me to kick my ass into gear!
So I hope that this inspires you to kick your booty into gear and go full throttle into what you love to do. We've wasted so much time already! (Also, sorry if this post is a little scattered. It's the result of not enough sleep and too many thoughts.) Your thoughts?
xx, oj
P.S. Click here to see his awesome performance with Kaycee Rice for WOD!
