Oh Dentist, Dentist~

Me oh my. Did I have the biggest scare ever - do yourself a favor and get a dentist check up prior to starting SDC! Make sure your teeth are in tip-top shape or else it will just be a waste of money.
(This includes making sure your wisdom teeth are all out! Otherwise, you will just continue to get crowding, trust me.)

I believe it was around the beginning of Month 2 when I noticed that something felt weird. My main issue is the crowding of my bottom front teeth. One tooth sticks out and the others are crowding and leaning behind it. As I've started my journey, the 2 teeth behind were starting to straighten out, making room for the weirdo tooth to become flush to the other. That's when I noticed the weird texture of the back of the weirdo tooth. It felt like there was a layer of some gunk, so I tried flossing and brushing specifically in that area but to no avail. I started panicking that it might be a cavity.

I've never been able to get into that area since my teeth were crowding and leaning all weird-like. No matter what I did; floss, brush, mouthwash. So I assumed the worst and I felt extremely dramatic because I did not have dental care. Luckily, my step-uncle is an orthodontist (he was the one that pulled out my wisdom teeth) so I called him up and made an appointment.

I asked him if he had to pull out the tooth (I assumed it was like final stage of cavity and it was just days away from rotting away, yay). He said that it was just plaque build-up and carved it off my teeth. All done!

I had plaque build-up because I haven't been able to properly brush that area, but imagine if it wasn't that. Imagine it was a cavity and that there was no other option but to pull out the tooth. I would have wasted my money on this SDC journey! So do yourself a favor, make an appointment and make sure that your teeth are healthy and all set for this journey.
