New Beginnings!

After 2 rounds of braces, countless broken or lost retainers, thousands of dollars spent, and a dad desperate to get his child's teeth straightened; they still ended up being crooked. 

As a 12 year old, I didn't really understand neither the frustration nor the amount of money that my father went through. However, now that I am a little older, a little wiser (I hope) man oh man. If I could only go back in time and just smack my younger-self. I didn't know that these things could cost so much money!

I had a huge struggle with my crooked teeth (especially my bottoms). Fortunately, my top teeth seemed straight enough that it wasn't too noticeable but I always knew. But after a recent trip to the dentist, she said I had better get them fixed soon or else they would have to pull teeth! No matter which angle or how hard I brushed and flossed, there would be always be those little crevices that would never get the deep clean it needs. So after that forceful push, I began my research.

Fortunately, I had a couple of options (including an orthodontist step-uncle) braces, Invisalign, and Smile Direct Club. But after much deliberation, I decided to go ahead with Smile Direct Club. After researching, I have seen both sides of the pond; the glowing reviews as well as the questionable lawsuits. I heavily encourage anyone and everyone to do their own research. That doesn't just mean watching YouTube reviews. I mean really do some research. You cannot rely on any single review! That being said, I hope you enjoy my personal journey with Smile Direct Club!

My cousin, Carol, went through a similar process but she is the type of person that is super organized and when she has questions, she wants a person to talk with to get clear answers. Carol went ahead with getting Invisalign at her orthodontist's office. (I believe she will be making a review of her experience as well later).
